Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]Ga-(HE)3-ZHER3-NODAGA is a gallium-68 labeled affibody-based radiopharmaceutical designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of human epidermal growth factor receptor 3 (HER3, ErbB3) expression in tumors. It consists of the anti-HER3 affibody molecule ZHER3 (specifically Z08698) modified with a hydrophilic N-terminal histidine-glutamate tag (HE)3 to reduce hepatic uptake and improve biodistribution, conjugated to the chelator NODAGA, and radiolabeled with the positron emitter gallium-68. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that [68Ga]Ga-(HE)3-ZHER3-NODAGA provides high-contrast PET imaging of HER3 expression with rapid blood clearance and high tumor-to-non-tumor ratios, making it a promising candidate for patient stratification in HER3-targeted cancer therapies.
